Your questions answered

Where do you hold your teaching sessions?

Update - 09 Jan 2023: I am now visiting students and teaching in their own homes - although I used to hold lessons at my home, we now have two rather lively labradors and it has proven tricky due to our labs wanting to spend the first 15 minutes greeting visitors! If you do not have an acoustic or electric piano at your home, a small keyboard is sufficient to begin lessons, however, if you want to progress with your learning I would recommend a full size 88-key piano or keyboard. If you wish to make an enquiry about lessons, please use the contact form on this website, or if you prefer, please telephone me on 07793 060636. If I am unable to answer your call please leave a message. I will pick up all messages and website contacts at the end of each day and I will return your call or message as soon as possible.

Do you have clearance to teach from the Disclosure & Barring Service?

Yes I have a full enhanced DBS Certificate and I am also registered with their update service, which provides continuous ongoing clearance. I am also fully registered with the Education Workforce Council as a Teacher.

How much do you charge for piano or keyboard lessons?

Lesson fees are £14.00 per half hour lesson and £25.00 per hourly lesson. Online lessons, where possible, are slightly less: £10.00 per half hour and £20.00 per hour.
